Faye Greenwell

Faye Greenwell, 73, of Owensboro, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Faye was born in Ohio County to the late Samuel and Mildred Lorene (Drace) McClure. She was a homemaker in recent years, and had previously worked at General Electric, the Cigar Factory, and several restaurants as a waitress. A proud mother and grandmother, Faye never met a stranger and liked talking to everyone. She enjoyed her flowers, decorating in her yard, and was a UK fan. A sister, Anna Mae Oller also preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband, Milton L. Greenwell, sons, Barry Greenwell of Owensboro, Randall Greenwell of Chesapeake, VA. And a daughter, Sonya McKay of Owensboro, grandchildren, Ashley Greenwell, Taylor McKay, Ian Klessig, all of Owensboro and Kealyn Greenwell, and Claire Greenwell of Chesapeake, VA., siblings, James A . McClure, Louis J. McClure and Dorothy Dukes all of Owensboro, and Edna Latham of Island, KY.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
