Fay Marie Ward Klessig

Fay Marie Ward Klessig, 79, went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2014. She was born on October 11, 1934, in Charleston, SC to the late Ivan and Fairy Ward. Fay was a member of Green Brier Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed singing, teaching, and being involved in various church activities. Fay was a selfless and caring person that put the needs of others before her own. She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed having lunch with her best friend Ann. What Fay loved most, was God, and her family.

Fay is preceded in death by her Husband, Helmuth Klessig, and a brother, Ivan Ward.

Survivors include her Daughters, Marietta Worth (Mike) and Deborah L. Aldridge; Son, Helmuth Klessig (Sonya); Grandchildren, Jordan Coakley, Kellie Klessig, Helmuth Quinton Klessig, Ian Klessig, Shanna Aldridge, Jared Aldridge, Brianna Aldridge, and a brother, John Ward (Sylvia).

Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2014 from 4-8PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be 11AM Tuesday, at Green Brier Baptist Church, with Bro. Larry Brown officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Fay Klessig.
