Fairy Cox Hayden

Fairy Cox Hayden, 98, of Hillcrest Healthcare Center, died Monday, January 27, 2003 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born October 24, 1904 in Warren County, Kentucky the daughter of Morton and Lilly James Cox. Her husband, Ruben Hayden, preceded her in death in 1979. Her son, Morton E. Hayden, also preceded her in death in 1997.

Mrs. Hayden was a homemaker and a nurses aid at Daviess County Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed working puzzles and flower gardening.

She is survived by six sons, James R. Hayen, Carl D. Hayden, Samuel E. Hayden, Marvin E. Hayden, Frank D. Hayden and Charles R. Hayden, all of Owensboro; four daughters, Mary C. Keiser, Margaret H. Blincoe and Fairy J. Ford, all of Owensboro and Margie N. Wilkerson of Granite City, IL; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Nan Hudson of Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Lewis Nall. Burial will follow in Red-Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003 and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home.
