Everett J. Phillips

Everett J. Phillips, 80, of 3404 Legacy Run, Owensboro, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at his home. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana, was an electrician and retired from Big Rivers Electric Corporation, and National Southwire Aluminum. He was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church and a 50 year plus member of Livermore Masonic Lodge#186 where he was Past Grand Master. Mr. Phillips was an Air Force veteran of WWII, the Korean War and served in the Berlin Airlift. He was a private pilot, loved baseball, his grandchildren, and bluegrass music and he played banjo and dobro. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gregory C. Phillips Jr. and sisters, Pauline Bruner and Norma Lucas.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Deanie Phillips of Owensboro, a son, Greg (Patty) Phillips of Owensboro, and daughter Jeanie (Lewis) Jean of Whitesville, and grandchildren Joshua Jean and Matthew Jean both of Whitesville, Sarah Baughn, Logan Phillips, and Tyler Phillips all of Owensboro, and a brother, Curtis
Phillips of Clayton, North Carolina, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
Interment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association Incorporated.
