Everett J. Hobgood

Mr. Everett Jr. Hobgood, 77, of Quail Ridge Court, Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 10, 2003, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born April 3, 1926 in Hopkins County, to Alex and Berdie Phillips Hobgood. He was an Army veteran of WW II, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Masters Mens Sunday School Class. He retired from Whirlpool after 32 years, he was a trade-out driver for Stacy Chrysler for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elsie Lyons Hobgood, two sons, Darrol Hobgood of Owensboro, Doyle Hobgood of Andrews, S.C., one daughter, Maryln Harris of Owensboro, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Frank and Charles Hobgood, both of Bremen, two sisters, Mary Hobgood of Central City, and Jean Zoellick of Bremen, also several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be 4:00 till 8:00 PM Friday, and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
