Everett J. Beers

Everett J. ''Buddy'' Beers, 89, of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore, KY, formerly of Owensboro, died Sunday, May 12 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Xenia Hunt Beers November 19, 1996.

Mr. Beers retired as a hardware salesman; graduated from the University of Kentucky; and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher and was an Army veteran of World War II having served in Normandy.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Anne Boklage of Louisville and Amanda Howard of Goshen, 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 A.M. Saturday, June 22, 2002 in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church.
