Evelyn G. Worth

Evelyn G. Worth, 93, of Owensboro, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare and Nursing Center. She was born June 26, 1913 to the late Joseph and Hallie May Foster Gough in Daviess County. She was a charter member of Seven Hills Baptist Church and had been a member since the 1940s. She enjoyed reading her Bible, the newspaper and watching T.V.. She loved taking trips with her family and friends and talking with her family and friends on the phone. She worked at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital for 27 years and had worked at Ken-Rad previously.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gale Allen Worth in 2005, a sister, Ruby Mae Lawson and a brother, Gilbert Gough.

Survivors include her son, Paul Worth of Lexington, KY; her daughter, Lesta Bonnie Stroud of Owensboro; a daughter-in-law, Jan Worth of Paris, KY; two grandchildren, Tammy Jo Lewis of Owensboro and Caitlin Worth of Paris, KY, one great-granddaughter, Brittany Jo Lewis of Owensboro; her sisters, Nancy Lawson of Lewisport, Susie Ewan and her husband, Bertram of Owensboro, Wilma Wardrip of Owensboro.

Services will be 12:00 PM Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and after 10:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
