Evelyn M. Riley

Evelyn M. Riley, 86, of Owensboro, formerly of Fayetteville, GA. Was born May 14, 1920 in Atlanta, GA, and departed this earth, March 15, 2007, to join her Heavenly Father and loving husband of 35 years, James Riley, who preceded her in death on January 31, 1976. Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her, but her loving spirit will be forgotten by none.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Proctor in 1984, a brother, Jake Proctor in 2005.

Survivors include her daughters, Delores Bruce, and her husband, Robert of Fayetteville, GA, Patricia Riley, Sonja Riley, and her fianc Sam Lane; her son, Wayne Riley, all of Owensboro. Her brothers, Grady McWaters, Trellis McWaters, both of Thomaston, GA, Paul McWaters of Wichita Falls, TX, James Proctor of Arkansas, Albert Hunkie Proctor of Atlanta, GA; one loving sister, Ruth Williams, and her husband, Dwight of Jonesboro, GA. Grandsons, Darrell Bruce, and wife, Barbara of Fayetteville, GA, Dwayne Bruce, and his wife, Ginger of Peachtree City, GA, Steve Payne, and his wife, Melissa of West Palm, FL, Wes Riley of Owensboro; granddaughters, Connie Banks, her husband, Danny of Newman, GA, Leisa Heep, her husband, Randy of Utica, KY, Beth Riley, Kristen Riley, Allison Riley and Erica Riley, all of Owensboro, KY; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Hwy 54, Peachtree City, GA. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, 180 N. Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, GA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care, 726 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at Glenn Funeral Home, Owensboro, KY.
