Evelyn Kincaid (Heifner) Horn, 60, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis. Born in Daviess County on April 6, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Emma Sue Lewis Kincaid; was co-owner of Little Reruns Consignment Shop; and was a member of the Living Faith Baptist Church in Hartford. Ms. Horn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was crazy about her 5 grandsons and, especially, enjoyed family vacations to the mountains. She also enjoyed her flower garden. In addition to her parents, Ms. Horn was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Conkright and Wanda Nelson, brothers, Raymond, Marvin, Douglas, and James Kincaid; and her father-in-law, Leonard Heifner.
Surviving are her children, Andi (Lee) Hall and Lisa (Ben) Spicer of Owensboro; Andi and Lisa's father, Terry Heifner; grandchildren, Tristan Baker, Ethan Hall, Max Hall, Nolan Hall, and Braden Spicer; sisters, Betty (Jay) Gabbard and Ruth (Jeff) McKeown; brothers, Randall (Ann) Kingkade, William Kincaid and Michael (Thelma) Kincaid; her mother-in-law, Wanda Heifner; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are 12 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Kenny Rager officiating followed by burial in Bells Run Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
