Evelyn Martine Howard Embry

Mrs. Evelyn Martine Howard Embry, 84, of Continental Towers, 1100 Erie Ave. Evansville, IN, died Sunday, December 14, 2003, at St. Marys Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1919, to Ollie and Emerean Roberts Howard, in Daviess County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert A. Embry, in 1987. She was a member of Riverwind Baptist Church in Newburgh, IN, was a previous member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church for 40 years, and First Baptist Church in Owensboro. She and her husband were volunteers for Audubon Area Community Services for 14 years, and also worked with Salvation Army.

Survivors include one son, Larry H. Embry and wife Wanda of Newburgh, IN, two daughters, Emma Sue and husband Ray Haase of Newburgh, IN, and Radeana and husband Bob Jones of Owensboro, five grandchildren Ernie and wife Lisa Haase of Stow, Ohio, Jarrod and wife Julie Haase of Newburgh, IN, Jason Embry, serving in the 82nd Airborne Dvision of the military, Lee and wife Stephanie Jones of Owensboro, and Martie Jones of Owensboro, five great-grandchildren, Carley and Avory Haase of Newburgh, Dakota, Carlie and Cameron Jones of Owensboro, one brother, Clyde Howard of Navasota, TX, and one sister, Hazel Boling of Pleasant Ridge, KY.

Services will be 2:30 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 :00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, and after 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to S. T. G. Ministry, P.O. Box 559, Newburgh, IN.
