Evelyn Adell Bowman Bailey

Evelyn Adell Bowman Bailey, 94, of Owensboro died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in McLean County to the late Richard and Callie Underwood Bowman, prior to marriage she co-owned and operated the Eve-Dell Beauty Salon, was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mary Lou Phillips Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bailey was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold E. Bailey.

Survivors include her son, Harold Bowman Bailey and his wife Pam of Owensboro; daughter, Mary Phoebe Bailey Athey of Owensboro; granddaughter, Laura Ann Bailey of Lexington; and sisters, Ann Swift Rickard of Livermore and Addie Duncan Frailing of Las Vegas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Worthington Chapel Cemetery in McLean County.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Settle Memorial United Methodist Church Choir Fund.
