It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Eva Louemma Crowe Stinnett, 85, of 1200 E. Byers Ave., Owensboro. She was born in Hancock Co., Ky. on February 29, 1920 and passed into eternal life on April 29, 2005 and with joy has seen the glory of her Heavenly Fathers face. She was retired after 37 years of service with General Electric. She was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church which she joined on September 21, 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Stinnett who passed away on April 13, 1975, her parents, Samuel Dudley Crowe and Amittie Boling Crowe, an infant brother, a young brother Alfred, a sister, Beulah Mae Fulkerson, and a brother, Clayton Crowe.
Surviving is her son, C. D. Stinnett and wife Paulette, of Louisville, Ky., two daughters, Freida Fulkerson and husband Herschel, and Joyce Abshier and husband Danny, all of Owensboro, seven grandchildren, Scott Fulkerson, Dana Goodlett, Dane Galloway, and Amanda Rogers, all of Owensboro, Stephanie Nolan of Suwannee, Ga., and Joel & Nicholas Stinnett, both of Louisville, 13 great grandchildren, two brothers, Myrvin Crowe and wife Fannie of Owensboro, and J. C. Crowe of Hardinsburg, and two sisters, Myrl DeWitt and husband Raleigh of Owensboro, and Arnora Cain and husband Johnny of Philpot, and several nieces & nephews in whose lives she was a beloved, nurturing influence.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 2, at Hall Street Baptist Church with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home.
