Euria Wood

Euria Wood, 82, of Owensboro passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born June 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Oliver and Daisy Howard Wood; was retired from Kentucky Wesleyan College where he worked for 32 years; and operated a Flea Market for 4 years after his retirement. Mr. Wood enjoyed shopping at flea markets and yard sales, and going to family get-togethers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Shirley Ann Phillips Wood in January of 2015; a brother, "Hoot" Wood; sisters, Sue Gunterman, Rita Hamilton, Shirley Phillips, and Euba Moore; and nieces, Sue Greathouse Hale and Barbara Walker.


Surviving is a step-daughter, Elizabeth Lindsey of Owensboro; step-sons, Lawrence (Patti) Lindsey, Jr. of Lansing, KS, and Greg Lindsey and Karl Lindsey both of Owensboro; step-grandchildren, Sulie Villanueva (Eddie), Sophia Lindsey, Breanna Lindsey, Seth Kirby, Kali Lindsey, and Jacob Lindsey; step-great-grandchildren, Cody Cuahua, Morgan Luna, Euria Luna, Jasmine Villanueva, Bradley Villanueva, Angelina Villanueva, and Kaycen Holeman; nephews, Rick (Rose) Greathouse, Charles (Stephanie) Greathouse, Albert (Jonell) Greathouse, and Roger (fiance' Lee Ann Swift) Greathouse all of Owensboro.


Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Brier Creek Church Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
