Eunice Veach Hays

Eunice Veach Hays, 92, of Owensboro, Kentucky departed her life here on earth on May 18, 2010 and entered into that beautiful and holy city, Heaven, her final resting place. We have this assurance because of the testimony she gave in her life of her salvation. She lived with her daughter Judy Brown for the last 7 years. She was born on November 26, 1917 in Barren County to the late James Hayden Veach and Cora Jane Austin Veach. She was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mowing her lawn and tending her garden were two things she loved to do. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Hays on March 4, 1980, an infant daughter, Frances Edalene on March 21, 1937, and a grandson, Michael Froedge on January 2, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a stepmother.

She is survived by a son, Charles Hays and his wife Sherrill of Bowling Green; daughter, Judy Brown and her husband Don of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Bob Froedge of Mesa, AZ, Daphne Martin of Owensboro, Sarah Burden of Las Vegas, Jason Hays of Bowling Green and Jennifer Hays of Lexington; seven great-grandchildren; and four caregivers, Carol Basham, Sue Belcher, Karen Henderson, and Crystal Livers.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve James and Rev. James Dean officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
