Eunice "Rose" Cook, 84, of Philpot, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Owensboro Center. She was born in Daviess County to the late Donald Kirk and Winnie Mae Hite Cook.
Rose became a member of Dawson Baptist Church in 1942 and spent more than fifty years as church secretary. Church was her life! She also enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and spending time with children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herman "Pete" Cook.
Rose is survived by a brother, Robert Cook and his wife Dorothy of Philpot, a niece, Cindy Mahoney and her husband Mark of Owensboro; nephews, Ricky L. Cook and Dennis Cook and his wife, Sharon, all of Philpot; great-nieces and nephews, Kari, Keith, Mark, Josh and Haley; great-great nieces and nephews, Amber, Andrew, Dylan, Jackie, Lyla, Bryson and Ady; and a dear friend, Doris Sublett.
The service will be 10 AM Saturday, April 1 at Dawson Baptist Church with burial at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 3 until 8 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and on Saturday after 8:30 AM at church.
