Eunice Lee Kirby Byrn, 89, of Owensboro died January 18, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, KY. The Narrows, KY native had lived in Owensboro since early childhood. She graduated with honors from Owensboro High School, served as an Instructor with Ken-Rad, and was a member of Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Byrn was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Byrn; brothers, Forest Kirby, Everett Acton Kirby, Griffin Carlisle Kirby, and Beckham Cantril Kirby; sisters LaGratta Huff, Myrtle Wilkins, and Ellen Julia Schuyler; father, Eugene Grant Kirby; and mother, Ida Lee Acton Kirby. The Kirby family were all originally of Ohio County.
Survivors include a son, Paul B. Walker of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Shelli Moring of Lake in the Hills, IL and Paula Ramsey of Hancock County; a great-grandchild, Logan Moring of Lake in the Hills; and many nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2:30 PM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, and after 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church.
