Eula Mae Roll Bastin

Eula Mae Roll Bastin, 87, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born March 27, 1917 in Muhlenberg County, Mrs. Bastin was the daughter of the late Curg Roll and Mary Louise Heck Roll. She was a business owner and member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, Ky. Mrs. Bastin enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family, caring for her pets, and landscaping. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Barney Bastin, in 1966, a brother, Tom Roll and a sister, Betty Staples.

She is survived by a son, Bobby James Bastin of Owensboro; two daughters, Martha Janice Bastin and Mary Jewell Bowen both of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Bobby Bastin, Jr., Susan Bastin, Brian Bastin, and Jewell Melhiser Shope; two step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, J.T. Roll of Central City; and a sister, Jewell Roll of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-7 P.M. on Tuesday and after 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday.
