Eugene W. Lohwasser

Eugene W. Lohwasser, 82, of Owensboro died August 28, 2013 at his home. He was born May 7, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Eugene and Helen Schuff Lohwasser. Eugene retired from the Army with 21 years of service including the Korean and Vietnam eras. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 22 years of service. Eugene was very proud of being appointed a Kentucky Colonel. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Owensboro.

Eugene also was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and David Lee Lohwasser; and brothers, Henry and Richard Lohwasser.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Faye Lavan Lohwasser of Owensboro, and daughter, Catherine Lohwasser-Bearchild of Bellmawr, NJ.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastors Steve Fuchs and Lorie Schroeder presiding. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
