Eugene Tapp Hayden

Eugene Tapp Hayden, 65, of Owensboro passed away April 4, 2018 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born in Owensboro on October 25, 1952, he was the son of the late Eugene Tapp, Sr. and Evelyn Hayden Tapp. Mr. Hayden was a 1970 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. He played in two bands during the 1970's, the Soul Walkers and the Soul Survivors, and loved crossword puzzles. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Estle and Lena Hayden, his second wife, Sue Cooper Hayden, and a sister, Patricia Lett.

Surviving are his wife, Dora Smith Hayden; sisters, Sharon Hayden Skinner and Jewell Brown; a half-brother, Thomas Tapp; a half-sister, Trea Lynn; special cousins, Cynthia Young and Carl Brown; and many other extended family and friends.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, April14, 2018 at Encounter Community Church 2001 Prince Ave. , Owensboro, KY 42303.
