Ethel Pean, 90, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Habit to the late Homer and Ethel Taylor Pean.
Ms. Pean worked as a collection clerk for General Electric and MPD and retired after 49 years of service. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, West Central Kentucky Family Research Association, AARP and Golden Partners. For many years Ethel was an active partner in the March of Dimes Walkathons. She was passionate in her genealogical research and enjoyed challenging puzzles.
Ms. Pean was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Pean; nephews, Randall Pean, Jr. and Tom Pean.
She is survived by a sister, Geneva Moore of Owensboro; a brother, Rollie Pean of Oregon; nephews, Stephen Pean of Oregon and Ted Moore of Owensboro; nieces, Barbara Tucker of Livia, Margaret Robbins, Linda Acton, Norma Worth and Debbie Glasgow, all of Owensboro and Lisa Stauffer of Oregon; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and many close friends and neighbors.
The service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 24 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
