Estle Isbell

April 22, 1926 — March 10, 2005

Estle S. Junior Isbell, 78, of Smyrna, Tn (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Born April 22, 1926 in Daviess County, Mr. Isbell was the son of the late Estle James Isbell and Veva Hancock Isbell. He was retired from Bowen Tire Company and was a member of the Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696. He enjoyed music, outdoor activities, and was a real people person..

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nina Taylor Isbell; three sons, Dan Isbell of Huntsville, AL, and Jimmy Jarboe of Owensboro and John Isbell of Smyrna; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Winchester of Highland, IN; and a brother, Carroll Ray Isbell of Owensboro.

Funeral services are private with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
