Estill Huff, Jr., 78, of 703 Devinshire Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at his home. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Estill and Ruy Lee Taylor Huff, Sr. He owned and operated Estill Huff, Jr. Welding Service, a local pipeline company, and he enjoyed his work very much. He served as a private contractor for Western Ky. Gas Co. which later became Atmos Energy for a number of years. He helped in revitalization and distribution of natural gas for the betterment of our city and surrounding counties. He was a member of Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the occupation of Japan. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Gola Casteel Huff on May 29, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Rodney Huff and Byron Huff, both of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Byron Todd and Kari Leigh Huff and their children, Jenna Brooke and Olivia Marie Huff and Carly Reanne Lindsey, all of Owensboro and Tanja Gay and William Thomas Logan and their children, Robert Edward, Shelby Leigh, Matthew Thomas, Bethany Taylor, and Jack Wilson Logan, all of Utica.
Services will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday, May 31, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Ohio Valley, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
