Esther Helen Schulz

September 8, 1907 — October 10, 2006

Esther Helen Schulz, 99, of Owensboro, died October 10, 2006 at Hillcrest Healthcare. Daughter of the late Frank and Affy Shipley Mueth, she lived the first eighty-two years of her life in the St. Louis, MO area. She enjoyed nature walks as part of an organized group, served for a time as a Girl Scout Leader, and as a Sunday School Teacher at Nelson Presbyterian Church. Later in life she was instrumental in forming a Bible study group in the Florissant, MO area. While they were able, she and her late husband, F. H. Edward Schulz, attended Christ Presbyterian Church in Owensboro. Esther loved the Lord Jesus Christ and made it a practice to help those in need.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husband was a brother; Frank Irvin Mueth.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Ronald F. and Sarah Schulz of Owensboro, and her daughter; Rita Harris of Madison, WI, her grandchildren; Helen Bohannon of New Albany, IN, Richard Schulz of Merriam, KS, David Schulz of Elkhart, IN, and Justine Harris Rosenblum of Madison, WI, her great-grandchildren; Ashley Voelker of Tonganoxie, KS, Duncan Bohannon of New Albany, IN, Rachel Bohannon of New Albany, IN, Chelsea Schulz of Elkhart, IN, Joshua Schulz of Merriam, KS, Caleb Schulz of Merriam, KS, Aaron Rosenblum of Madison, WI, and Eli Rosenblum of Madison, WI.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2006 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Christ Chapel with Rev. Allen Shouse officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in the form of donations to either the Boulware Center or Gideons International.
