Esther Rose Pfister

Esther Rose Pfister, 95, of Toledo died there Monday, September 9, 2002, at Lutheran Home. She was born January 23, 1905 to John and Rose (Stillwell) Dowell in Stevensport, Kentucky. Esther was the widow of John T. Pfister. She was employed at the Murphey Chair Company in Owensboro for over 14 years. Mrs. Pfister was a member of the East Toledo Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, John (Marie) Pfister of Walbridge, OH, Charles Pfister of Hartselle and Paul (Judy) Pfister of Elmore, OH; three daughters, Modesta Lee Lewis, Beverly Schroeder and Dorothy (Phillip) Talley, all of San Marcos, CA; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents, a brother, Sherman Dowell and two grandsons preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 14, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Robert Main. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2002 and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
