Esther Ruth McCurdy Estes

Esther Ruth McCurdy Estes, 75, of 1515 W. 12TH. St., Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the home of her son, Charles at 4631 Kings Mill Dr. She was born in Ligonier, Pa. to the late Charles & Ruth Berkley McCurdy. She was retired from the motel industry and had been attending Lewis Lane Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Widowed Persons Support Group and loved riding her bicycle and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayton Estes in December, 1973.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, James Edward & Brenda Perry of Latrobe, Pa. and Charles Clayton & Debbie Estes of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Robert C. Estes of Louisville, Andrew C. Estes of Owensboro, Angela Burd, and Barry and Matthew Moore, all of Latrobe, Pa., a great granddaughter, Gabi Burd, two sisters, Betty Mae Jones of Mobile, Ala. and Nancy Lee Bushnell of Ligonier, Pa., and two nephews, Tim & wife Lea Jones of Franklin, Tn. and Brent Bushnell of Richmond, Va.

There will be no visitation or services. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
