Estell T. Rickard

Estell T. "E. T." Rickard, 88 of Park Regency passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1925 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Charles and Laura Harris Rickard. E. T. was retired from the City of Owensboro after 33 years having worked in the Traffic Sign Shop. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Good Shepherd Church. He enjoyed traveling, eating out, watching Jimmy Swaggart, walking in the Mall, and listening to gospel music and attending the "Gospel On The River" concerts, but he especially loved spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Ashton Rickard on July 9, 2010, two brothers, Elzie and Paul Rickard, and four sisters, Alma Walker, Sina Mercer, Flossie Chandler, and Odena Coon.

Surviving are his children, Belinda Logsdon and husband Kim of Owensboro, Karen Yeckering and husband Richard of Utica, and Tim Rickard and wife Julie DeArmond Rickard of Greensboro, N. C., four grandchildren, Angela Greenwell of Johnston City, IL, Chandra Ray of Owensboro, and Emma and Sophie Rickard of Greensboro, N. C., two great grandchildren, Dallas Osborne and Brody Greenwell of Johnston City, two step-grandchildren, Chad Logsdon and wife Holly and Adam Logsdon and wife Jenni, all of Utica, three step- great grandchildren, Ella, Lily, and Gage Logsdon, all of Utica, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor John Morse officiating. Burial will follow in Calhoun Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
