Ersie Pearl Beasley Delk

Ersie Pearl (Beasley) Delk, of Owensboro, originally from Pulaski County, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010. She was born on May 24, 1928 to the late Virgil and Haley Parton Beasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Estell, Millard, Leonard, Doyal and Everett and six sisters: Berthie, Gertrude, Dori, Irene, Bessie, and Aldena.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry Everett Delk, and her sister, Bernice Childress. Survivors also include three daughters, Jean Rickard (Larry), Anna Gage (Tom), Rebecca Stafford (Mark) and one son, Terry Delk (Melody); nine grandchildren, Ginny Lou Carmony (Pete), Tanya Price (Jason), Scott Delk, Jennifer Lynn, Kristen Lawson (Russell), Jerry Brooker, John Bess, Cindy Hibbard and Cynthia Prather; and eight great-grandchildren, Amy Carmony, Mindy Cosby (Ryan), Carter Hibbard, Kenton Hibbard, Morgan Price, Maribel Price, Ailie Price and Gracie Pearl Lawson; and a special niece, Lois Rader.

Ersie was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She followed her husband in the ministry services for over 50 years. Ersie would also like to thank everyone who helped during her illness.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY with burial in Wilkerson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 8 a.m. on Friday at Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY.
