Ernest Cleo Roberts, 73, passed away February 26, 2016 while in the care of Red Banks Skilled Nursing Center in Henderson, KY. Born November 13, 1942 to the late Fritz and Arvila Roberts, Ernest worked eighteen years as first a truck driver, then on the loading dock for Prairie Farms. He loved drag racing and his family. Ernest is preceded in death by his son, Bubba Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Deena Roberts; children, Nicole Capps and her husband, Randy, Larry Roberts, Steve Awtrey, Margaret Roberts, Scooter C. Roberts, Christine Mengel, Michael Ruston, and Richard Ruston; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon, Lavonda, Mary Lou, and Wanda.
Services are private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the family of Ernest Roberts c/o Deena Roberts. Donations may be mailed to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, 900 Old Hartford Rd., Owensboro, KY 42303.
