Ernest Barr Gordon

Ernest Barr Gordon, 78, of 1908 Mohawk Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on Sept. 28, 1926 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Forrest K. & Elizabeth Riddle Gordon. He was retired from the City of Owensboro as a fireman with the Owensboro Fire Dept after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He had also farmed and worked as a mechanic for the Murphy-Miller Chair Co. and enjoyed helping out others in any way he could.

He is survived by his son Barr Gordon of Owensboro, two daughters, Cindy Landry of Louisville, and Ann Steele of Lexington, a brother, George Gordon of Owensboro, a sister, Kathryn Wilkerson of Owensboro, and 2 grandchildren, Katie & Laura Kaiser of Louisville.

Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 29, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
