Ernest Ray Brown

Ernest Ray Brown, 72, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 under the care of Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. Mr. Brown was born June 30, 1946 in Daviess County to the late Jesse Lee Brown and Cora Elizabeth Vincent Brown. Ray was a simple man and a great dad who loved his kids. He was a plumber and pipefitter by trade and spent most of his spare time working on houses and flipping them for a profit, sometimes.

Mr. Brown was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Barry and Marvin Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, Kevin Brown of Owensboro and his mother, Brenda Brown and Scott (Mya) Brown and his mother, Dolly Brown; five grandchildren and one great grandson; sisters, Barbara (Jim) Wells and Wanda Stinnett; brother, Bill Brown; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 till 8:00 pm and Wednesday from noon till 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
