Erma Darnell Hanks

Erma Darnell Hanks, 66, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away March 23, 2018 at Signature Healthcare in Bowling Green, KY. She was born April 22, 1951 in Lewisport, KY to the late Clarence Raymond and Anna Roberts Hanks. Erma was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and Sano Baptist Church where she attended every Sunday and enjoyed the gospel music. She enjoyed shopping, making pot holder for her family and friends, but most of all she loved being with her family and hanging out in the woods in their special place.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Louise Payne, Dorothy Husk, and Mary Riley; and her brothers, Raymond Eugene, Jasper, and Marjoe Hanks.

Erma is survived by her brothers, Wilbur Hanks and his wife, Sharon, and Michael Hanks and his wife, Donna, all of Ft. Wayne, IN; her niece, Anna Burton and her husband, Jim, of Russell Springs, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Ridgewood Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Stallings officiating. The Burial will follow in Stephensport Christian Church Cemetery in Breckinridge County. Visitation will be Monday from 2 till 7 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. till the time of service at the church.
