Eric T. Rumage

Eric T Rumage, 49, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at his residence. Born June 27, 1970 in Owensboro to Dennis and Gloria Romans Rumage, Eric graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School ('89) and entered the U.S Navy. It was during his service that he met his future wife, Karen Greenawalt. After being honorably discharged, Eric was employed at Hausner Hard-Chrome for the next 19 years as a machinist. He was very patriotic and always flew the American and Navy flag at his home while helping others to erect flag poles of their own. Eric was your all-American guy who loved his family, camping, grilling, country music, and NASCAR. His infectious smile portrayed a selfless person who was always ready to help others but expressed itself most clearly in his care for his special needs son.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 22 years, Karen Greenawalt Rumage; daughters, Hannah and Emily Rumage; son, Nathan Rumage; parents, Dennis and Gloria Rumage; sisters, Alicia Terry (Craig Crawford), Michele Cooper (Kevin) all of Owensboro; sister, Amy Spurlock (Clayton) of Broomfield, Colorado; brother-in-law, Zach Khan; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Jordan, Alex, Madison, and Molly; many special and close friends.

The funeral mass for Eric Rumage will be 2:00 pm Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church where visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service. Burial with military honors will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
