Erdine Cox Logsdon, 87, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. She was born in
Butler County, KY March 13, 1927 to the late Alfred and Clora Romans Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George William Logsdon on December 29, 2006, an infant daughter, Sharon Logsdon, and siblings, Walter Cox, Ertis Cox, Delsie Hayden, Flossie Hagan, Mable Freels and Madie Newcom. She enjoyed traveling, golf and watching the many sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She was a long time member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church and Windridge Country Club. She worked as a crossing guard at Lincoln Elementary and Eastern Junior High Schools, and was the sno-cone lady to many children at the concession stands in Moreland and Chautauqua Parks for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Patrice (Bill) Wellman, and sons, Kim (Belinda) Logsdon and Kevin (Coral) Logsdon. Her grandchildren, Justin Wellman, Chad (Holly) Logsdon, Adam (Jenni) Logsdon, all of Owensboro; and Ross (Natalie) Wellman of China. A step-grandson Jason Cain of Owensboro. Her great-grandchildren, Ella, Gage, Lily, and Emily Logsdon, all of Owensboro; and Riley Grace and Vivian Wellman, both of China, and a brother, Lloyd (Ruth) Cox, also of Owensboro.
Services will be at 12 Noon Monday at the chapel at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 Sunday, and after 10 on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, 1225 W. 3rd. St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
