Emma Tinius Probus, 91, of One Park Place, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at her home. She was born October 17, 1917 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Jasper Dyer and Cordelia Philpot Tinius. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union. She was a graduate of Whitesville High School and enjoyed scrapbooking and quilting. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Denzil Probus on Dec. 25, 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Glover and husband John of Atlanta, GA, three sons, Bill Probus and wife Ann of Cynthiana, Bob Probus and wife Helen of Louisville, and Mark Probus and wife Cheryl of Columbia, S. C., 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a sister Mildred T. Morton of Owensboro.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 30 at the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
