Emma Rose Dunbar

Emma R. Dunbar, 96, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, at the Carmel Home. Born in Knottsville on April 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine Coomes. She was preceded in death by her husband James F. "Jack" Dunbar in 1987. In addition, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen Uptodel and Ernestine Roberts. She was a long time member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church.

She is survived by her three children, Mary Frances Neat and her husband Chris, James David Dunbar and his wife Mary (Sissy), and Dennis Michael Dunbar and his wife Delores (Faye). She was blessed with three grandchildren, Mellisa Price and her husband Barry, Amy Lancaster, and Johnathan Garr. Included in God's blessings are her great grandchildren, Preston Price, Taylor Price, Emily Price, Dustin Baker, and Madison Baker. She is also survived by her sister, Georgetta Murphy and her husband Bill, and her sister-in-law and good friend Ruth Ann Mattingly along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, at the Carmel Home Chapel. Visitation will be at 12 Noon Friday at the Carmel Home. Committal services at Resurrection Cemetery will be private.

Emma will be remembered as a kind, loving, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
