Emma Lee Blincoe

Emma Lee Blincoe, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Heartford House. She was born in Daviess County to the late Henry Coons, Sr. and Myrtle Coons.
Mrs. Blincoe was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Seven Hills Baptist Church. Many years ago she was employed by Kresge's and General Electric. Emma enjoyed raising roses and U.K. Basketball. Most of all, she loved to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Marvin Blincoe in May of 2013; sisters, Helen Jolly, Elizabeth Crisp, Annie Booker; a brother, Henry Coons, Jr.; and a great grandchild, Abel Jacob McCrady in July of 2013.
Mrs. Blincoe is survived by daughters, Phyllis Locher (Morris) of Owensboro and Debbie McCrady (Fred) of Philpot ; a son, Wayne Blincoe (Joy) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Dennis Locher, Shannon Etienne, Casy Blincoe, Brad McCrady and Amanda Lamar; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way; a sister-in-law, Virginia Coons; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 21 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Bruce Flener will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 AM until 2 PM at the funeral home.
