Emily D. McDaniel

Emily Darlene McDaniel, 70, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born October 15, 1953, in Ohio County, to the late Opal and Mabel Kelly Baize. Emily retired from Glenmore Distillery after 30 years of service as a machine operator. She enjoyed her flowers, was an avid UK fan, and loved her trips to the casino boat. 

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles McDaniel; three brothers, Jimmy, Dennis, and Billy Baize; and a sister, Zonia Carmen.

Emily is survived by her daughter, Racheal McDaniel; a grandson, Kristian King; siblings, Wendell (Sharon) Baize, and Roy (Mary) Baize; her sisters, sisters, Ruby (Robert) Vincent, Patsy (Glen) Galloway, and Marcella (Randy) Nesmith; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Emily will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 6, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Terry Tarrance officiating. Burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
