Elwanda G. Davis

Elwanda Hatfield Davis, 73, of Owensboro received this greatest of all human blessings and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on July 9, 2012 from Owensboro Medical Health System.

Elwanda was born in Daviess County on October 15th, 1938 to John and Stacey Hatfield and was raised by her Auntie Eufaulla and Uncle Bill Maddox all of whom preceded her in death. Ms. Davis was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mitzy Greer; three brothers, Thomas, Sherman and John Hatfield and one sister, Anna Kathrine Hatfield.

She attended Walnut Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, John D. Greer, Jr. of Ohio, Joe David Greer of Texas and Regina Greer of Kansas; one sister, Margaret (Maggie) Reneer of Morgantown, KY; two brothers, William (W.D.) Hatfield of Owensboro and Cecil R. Hatfield of Louisville, KY and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ms. Davis's cremated remains will be buried at Buck Creek Cemetery.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
