Elton Rouse

Elton Rouse, 88, of 2911 Royal Drive, died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Hillary and Minnie Eaton Rouse. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ for 42 years, the VFW in Calhoun, retired from Hon Company after 33 years and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Miriam Best Rouse; two sons, Wayne Rouse and his wife Sherry of Houston, TX and Mark Rouse and his wife Susan of Owensboro; one daughter, Sandy Rouse of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Marty Rouse and his wife Jessica of Austin, TX, Andy Rouse and his wife Katherine of Dublin, Ireland, Hadley and Erin Rouse both of Owensboro; one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Rouse of Austin, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will from 2 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, and after 10 on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Zion United Church of Christ, the VFW in Calhoun, Kentucky or the Charity of ones choice.
