Elsie Mae Main

October 31, 1924 — October 5, 2008

Elsie Main went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 5th. She was born in Owensboro, Ky. on October 31st of 1924 to the late Bessie and Otto Reynolds. She married Bill Main on June 28th, 1941 and had been married for 67 years.

She was a devoted wife and the very loving mother of ten children. Perhaps the highest accolade that can be paid to anyone is reflected in the hearts and memories of the people that knew them best. Elsie was adored by her husband, cherished dearly by each of her children, and loved by every grandchild. She was a Godly woman that believed in prayer and the promises of the Lord. Now she is realizing the fulfillment of that faith and has begun her new journey with the Lord in Heaven. All of the loved ones she left behind will miss her gentleness, her sweet love, and the example she provided in showing what a wife, Mom, and Grandmother should be. She will be greatly missed, but all who loved her are glad she is with the Lord and enjoying the rewards of a true and faithful servant

Surviving are her husband Bill Main, and sons Bobby (Linda)Main of Owensboro, Marty (Betty)Main of Whitehouse, TN., Joe (Rita)Main of Louisville, Keith A.(Lee Carol)Main ,and Bill (Tangie) Main of Louisville, and daughters; Judy (Jerry)Hudson and Karen (Ricky)Bivens of Owensboro, Becky (Tony)Vandiver of Kernersville, N.C. and Sharon (Tony) Morris of Owensboro and Linda O'Bryan of Lexington, and a brother; Anthony Reynolds, of Owensboro, 21;and 24 great-grandchildren.
