Elsie Alsup Conder

Elsie J. Alsup Conder, 71, of Owensboro died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. She was born in Daviess County on December 2, 1940, to the late Robert C. and Annie Thomas Alsup. She was a Christian, enjoyed spending her time in her garden and with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. Mrs. Conder was also preceded in death by her son Larry "Bubba" Pointer; granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson; brothers, Joe Alsup, Earl Alsup, Raymond Alsup, and James Alsup; and sister, Mildred Alsup Carlisle.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Larry N. Conder; son, Tim R. Pointer (Shelena); daughters, Marla J. Storm (John) and Cindie L. Gough (Jason) all of Owensboro; step-sons, Larry Neil Conder II and Scott Conder; brothers, Curtis Alsup and Billy Alsup; sisters, Bonnie Willis, Connie Kasinger, Linda Redd, Dorothy Parks, Viola Manley, Ruth Godwin, Belle Grace, and Mary Henderson; grandchildren, John M. Storm, Jacob Storm, Joshua Storm, Jeremy Storm, Jessica Carman, Alexis Storm, Sierra Storm, Zachary Gough, Timothy Pointer and Garrett Pointer; 5 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
