Ellis Ray Hall

December 26, 1939 — August 21, 2013

Ellis Ray Hall, 73, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born in Owensboro to the late Rev. Press and Zelma Farmer Hall, had worked at Johnson, Depp and Quisenberry for 43 years, and was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, grilling, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Mr. Hall was also preceded in death by his sisters, Martine McCrady and Jean Page and his brothers, Carl Hall, Sr., and Roy D. Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Frances Wright Hall; sons, Jeff Hall (Corey) of Utica and Mike Hall (Pam) of Philpot; grandchildren, Todd Hall (Paula) of Murray, Jenna Bruce (Frank), Kelsey Hall and Jordan Hall all of Owensboro; anxiously awaiting the arrival of two great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Schuldt (Fritz); and sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Terry Sapp and Patty and Bill Smith.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
