Frances Clark DeHart Hall, 78, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her home. Born in Owensboro on September 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lena Stinnett Clark; was retired from General Electric where she worked for 43 years; and was a member of the United First Baptist Church. A caring, loving mother, she was dedicated to caring for her daughter, Carolyn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, James Thomas DeHart, Sr. in 1986 and Rev. Roy Hall in 2002 and a son, James T. DeHart, Jr. in 1977.
Surviving are daughters, Carolyn DeHart and Joyce Ann (Les) Peek of Owensboro; sons, Paul Douglas (Gail) DeHart of Maceo, Jerry Wayne (Sandra Lynn) DeHart of Calhoun, and David Ray (Sharity) DeHart of Owensboro; step-son, Roy Eugene (Kim) Hall of Nikes, MI; step-daughters, Kathy Hall and Lawana Hall of Owensboro; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the First United Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Flener officiating followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Kosair Children's Hospital.
