Ella Mae Logsdon, 97, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 24, 1919 in Daviess Co. to the late Ira and Mary Alice Taylor Craig. Ella Mae was retired from Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital as a nurse's aid after 26 years and was a member of Maceo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables and doing things for her family. She really loved her job at the hospital where she could help and take care of people. Ella Mae was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Earl Logsdon on June 23, 1955 and her five brothers, Wilbur, Ralph, Robert, Austin, and Charles Craig.
Surviving are her children, Patsy Barlow and husband Ron of Leitchfield, Janice Westerfield of Owensboro, James Logsdon and wife Joyce of Owensboro, and Larry Logsdon and wife Patty of Utica, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
Services will be Noon Friday, March 31, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
