Ella Vina Alford, 93, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was born in Sorgho, Kentucky to the late Clay and Lula May Foster Alford on May 11, 1916. Mrs. Alford was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and was a waitress at Kresges for over 30 years.
Survivors include her nephew, David Moredock and his wife Ann of Philpot; great-nieces, Janet Moredock of Indianapolis and Jayne Jones of Owensboro; and a great-nephew, John Moredock of Atlanta.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
