Elizabeth Merle Wolfe

Elizabeth Merle Liddy Wolfe, 84, of the Carmel Home, Owensboro, died there, Tuesday, February 24, 2004. She is a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She retired from Glenmore Distillaries, and also was a sales clerk for Hecks. She enjoyed playing canasta and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Charles Wolfe preceded her in death in1995.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Wolfe and wife Pat of Frederick, Maryland, Charles Wolfe and wife Sherry of Aurora, Colorado, Greg Wolfe of Owensboro, Sam Wolfe and wife Mary Gail of Owensboro, and daughter, Judy Mattingly and husband Al of Owensboro, and twin sister, Martine Barnett of Owensboro, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2004 and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 5 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
