Elizabeth Higdon Walker

Elizabeth M. Walker, 82, of Liverpool, NY, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011. Born in Owensboro, she worked for Bell Telephone and Colony Liquor Distributors. She loved Square Dancing with her husband; was a member of St. Johns Church in Liverpool; and enjoyed Mahjong, the casino and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie J. Walker in 1978.

She is survived by four daughters, Connie (Sonny) Williamson, Mary Lou (Richard) Hemings, Julie (Daniel) Obrist and Nancy (Richard) Walker-Kopp; one son, Michael (Ramona) Walker; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grand-children.

Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. John's Church, in Clay, NY. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Resurrection Cemetery, Owensboro. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY. There will no visitation in Owensboro. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements in Owensboro.
