Elizabeth Rummage Penrod

Elizabeth Rummage Penrod, 85, of Benton, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006 at the Marshall County Hospital. Born in Daviess County, Mrs. Penrod was the daughter of the late Ila Guy and Mary Hazelrigg Rummage. She was a member of the Maple Spring United Methodist Church; had worked at General Electric and with her husband at Ferrells Restaurant; and was a member of the Daviess County Homemakers. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Hicks.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William D. Bill Penrod; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ida and Gerald Jones of Benton; grandchildren, Ricky (and his wife Jo Beth) Jones and Robin (and her husband Ed) Deese of Benton; great-grandchildren, Hudson Deese, Will Deese, Griffin Deese, Karly Jo Jones and Jesse Jones all of Benton; and a sister, Dorothy Jean Stroud of Owensboro.

Services are 10 A.M. Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Locke officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and after 9 A.M. Thursday morning.
