Elizabeth Payne

Elizabeth Lizzie Payne, 88, of 8944 Sacra Dr., Maceo, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Breckinridge County native was a homemaker and a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church. She worked part-time as the housekeeper for St. Stephen Cathedral for many years and was a member of the Maceo Homemakers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Christopher Eugene Payne in 1993, her son, Joseph Vincent Payne in 1991, and daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Payne in 1993.

She is survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses, Gregory and Annie Payne of Maceo, Stephen and Mary Payne of Dickson, TN, Alisa and Jeff Roberts of Maceo, Ramona and Earl Keller, Valerie Payne, and Jennifer and Russ Duty all of Owensboro, and Jackie and Shawn Conley of Hustonville, KY; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 11 A.M. Friday at the St. Pius X Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery in MCQuady. Visitation will be at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday and after 9 A.M. on Friday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 6 P.M. on Thursday.
