Elizabeth June Morris

June "Granny" Morris, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday February 10, 2019 at her home. She was born June 29, 1940 in Warren Co. to the late Argyle Francis and Susie J. Murphy. June was a homemaker, a pastor's wife, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a former member of Deanfield Baptist Church in Ohio County and was currently a member of Greater Vision Baptist Church. June was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Brother Billy Morris on September 23, 2014, two sisters, Regenia Anderson and Sue Frances Green, three brothers, James "Buster" Murphy, Wilbur "Murf" Murphy, and John Murphy and his wife Minnie, and a granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Morris.

Surviving are three sons, Brent Morris and wife Stacy of Owensboro, Tony Morris and wife Sharon of Fordsville, and Darren Morris of Owensboro, two daughters, Cathy Stewart of Owensboro and Karen Gish and husband David of Henderson, 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister, Chloie Davis and husband Bill of Owensboro, a sister-in-law, Mary Murphy of Owensboro a brother-in-law, James Anderson of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service for June Morris will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Tim Russ officiating . Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
